About CGH

Founders' Message

When founding CGH in 2018, we saw a need within the market for a creative and nimble firm to meet the fast paced and results oriented demands of the land development community. While each project has its own unique approach and focus, we also must respond to continual evolution of the nature of transportation in our cities, from new guidelines, changes in travel modes, or changes to the development planning process. We laid out a plan for deploying multifaceted expertise across Ontario, which included targeting markets where we had the most experience. This led us to starting with two practice areas, one in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario and the second in the GTHA.

More importantly, our employee culture is what would enable us to meet our CGH goals. The work from home structure was intentional and key to building a successful team. We don't contribute to the problem we're working to solve. Flexibility in life, both professional and personal, is important for everyone's personal success. It continues to allow employees the freedom to find employment with an up-and-coming consulting firm, and reciprocally for CGH to discover the best transportation professionals across the province.

Sincerely,
CGH Transportation Co-Founders

Core Principles

Who We Are

At the heart of CGH is a core of transportation engineers and designers focusing on land development in Eastern Ontario and the GTHA. Our team successfully navigates the evolving transportation world to deliver solutions for small site plans through to larger mixed-use developments, TOD developments and new urban growth communities. The transportation solutions adapt traditional approaches with new guidelines and trends to produce internal measures for sustainable travel, along with the external facilities for all modes required to make that travel possible.

The CGH team provides transportation/traffic impact studies, secondary/community design planning activities, traffic calming review and design, planning and design for layout and implementation of pedestrian, cycling, and road facilities, parking studies, and site plan layout for parking, move-in, transit vehicles, pick-up/drop-off and loading activities. Public consultation and facilitation are always a key to a successful project with transportation/traffic being a hot topic and CGH staff are capable at these events.
